WE'VE GOT DAINESE !!!!

We've been trying to get Dainese for you guys for years and finally the old saying "if you don't at first succeed..." has come true. So, as any of you who have been in or gone past in the last few days will have seen, we're letting you all know with some subtle graphics (!!!) on the outside of the building.

In our humble opinion Dainese are just simply the best biking gear period, so to go with the best biking gear, we figure you deserve the best clothing department in the business and that's what we're working on right now.

Opening will be end Jan 2012 and, naturally, it's going to be a very very special weekend...

In the meantime the refit means not only loads of disruption but TONS of absolute genuine bargains as we need to clear space for all the new Dainese gear that's winging it's way to us from Italy right now !! Check out a few examples here...

Congratulations to Jake…

Streetbike have always been supporters of apprenticeships in our workshop department.


As you know we recently took on young Casey as our newest apprentice. We did this because Jake Hingley had completed his apprenticeship and today we were proud to attend his graduation ceremony.


Together with a very proud Mum Caroline and Dad Neil, Gary Marshall and Keith Ball were there on behalf of all of us at Streetbike.


After a formal presentation by Yoshinubo Abe, Managing Director of Suzuki GB, everyone enjoyed what looked like a damn fine lunch.

Suzuki Announce NEW flagship 2012 GSX-R1000

Available 1st Quarter 2012…

Suzuki says…

Shaving 2kg from its kerb weight, the new GSX-R features a
multitude of updates such as Brembo’s highly acclaimed
Monoblock calipers for incredible braking and engine revisions
that provide even more mid-range power making this the very
best GSX-R1000 we’ve ever produced.

By using MotoGP derived finite element and fatigue analysis
techniques, piston weight is reduced by 11% and weight loss in
the engine tappets allows the use of optimized valve lift with a
revised exhaust cam profile for new heights in mid-range
grunt, acceleration and overall performance. All at the same
time as an 8% improvement in fuel efficiency.

In addition to the awesome Brembo Monoblock calipers, the
2012 GSX-R1000 features further chassis enhancements that
offer greater manoeuvrability thanks to a reduction in unsprung
weight. This weight saving is amplified with the return to a
lightweight 4-2-1 exhaust system, further enhanced with a
new lightweight titanium silencer.

The Great Jack Run

As part of Streetbike’s recent Guy Martin event we supported the Jack ‘9 lives’ McMahon Appeal. . Jack’s story really touched one of our customers Peter Hogg who went above & beyond on the night selling large photo prints from his 2011 IOM TT trip to add to the total raised. . But he wanted to do more…

So he’s decided to give up his holiday this year to do a sponsored ride from Streetbike to John O’Groats down to Lands End and finally back to Streetbike.

Jack’s Story…





Jack, 20yrs, has loved motorcycles since  childhood, leading him to his job in bikes at another local dealer and the ownership of a number of bikes.


On a regular ride home after the Swancote meet on 13th July 2011, he was involved in a horrific accident  that almost took his life. He suffered a number of life changing injuries; including the loss of his leg at the scene of the crash.


However, thanks to Jacks strength, tenacity and will to survive he is making a remarkable recovery.

The Jack Appeal aims to raise money to help support Jack and his family.
